It’s the age of the pirates and one outgoing young man dreams to be the Pirate King. One Piece is the story about Monkey D. Luffy, an odd boy from a small seaside town out to become the greatest Pirate since Gold Roger. It follows him as he gathers people for a crew through his limitless determination and optimistic nature. They set off into Grandline, the sea of all seas to find One Piece, the ultimate treasure. While One Piece may seem like a very light-hearted series, it can be very deep at times also. Next to all the frolicking on the high seas and jolly pirates life adventure story, there is a story about never giving up on your dreams and doing anything to reach your goals. Plus there is a bunch of awesome fights, with many unique fighting styles. There is just something about this series that sets it apart from other series and gets you hooked right away, maybe it’s the sense of a great adventure. You don’t even have to like pirates. It’s impossible to resist such a kick-ass series.
