Zangetsu is Ichigo's Zanpaku sword, and his manifestation is a rugged looking man with a wild black cape and hair. He turns up every now and then to give Ichigo special short sessions of training to help him overcome specific obstacles. This training takes place in some kind of alternate dimension, where Zangetsu apparently resides when Ichigo is not calling on him.
